We are pleased to announce CCHO’s third session on Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Evidence (RWE), scheduled for October 28th, 2024. Organized in collaboration with the Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research – King Saud University Student Chapter (ISPOR KSU), this session featured presentations from Dr. Myriam Bechwati and Ms. Joelle Barhoun from CCHO, as well as Dr. Marwan Alrasheed from King Saud University. Over 50 healthcare professionals attended the discussions delivered by key stakeholders and experts in the RWD/RWE and the MENA region.
Dr. Bechwati, RWE Manager at CCHO, covered several important topics, including defining real-world data and real-world evidence and their critical role in the healthcare landscape. She also explored various sources of RWD and RWE, assessed their advantages and disadvantages, and provided insights into the rationale behind their use.
Ms. Barhoun, Senior Data Scientist at CCHO, focused on the data analysis tools used in RWD, addressing the challenges and limitations of RWD/RWE, and exploring effective mitigation strategies.
Finally, Dr. Alrasheed, Assistant Professor at College of Pharmacy-KSU, presented real-world examples to illustrate the practical applications of RWD studies.

The session was moderated by Dr. Lea G. Ghajar, Business Development Associate at CCHO, and concluded with a lively Q&A session and quiz. The team was thrilled to announce and meet with the top 5 quiz winners and extended their gratitude to all participants for their active engagement throughout the session.
